Editorial staff from La voix de chez nous reached out to the MRC Prefect (Chantal Lamarche) regarding access to cottages. At this time, travel restrictions still apply and are strictly enforced by the SQ (Quebec police). They are still very worried about how the situation could affect rural areas, where first responders, healthcare workers and other medical resources are very scarce.
The topic of cottagers having to go check their properties will be discussed at the weekly MRC e-meeting. We will post updates as we get more information.
