Order of business:

Lac Heney Foundation

The members will be called to vote to approve last year’s audited financial statements and to elect new and ongoing directors to the Board. The financial statements will be provided to Foundation members electronically prior to the meeting.

Governance of the Foundation is distinct from the Association. Expressions of interest in joining the membership of the Foundation are welcome. Please contact Tom McKenna (see below). 

Association du Bassin versant du Lac Heney Watershed (formally: Association pour la protection du Lac Heney)

The members will be called to vote to approve last year’s income statement and report by the Accounting Review Committee, approve the 2025 budget, elect the President and new and ongoing directors to the Board and confirm the Supplementary Letters Patent for the Association (attached) approved last year to change its name to Association du Bassin versant du Lac Heney, and to update the objects of the corporation. The formal reports and resolutions, including the State of the Lake PowerPoint, will be posted prior to the AGM.

Resolution to Confirm the Resolution of the Members of the Association pour la protection du Lac Heney to amend the supplementary letters patent of the Association 

Be it resolved that the Supplementary Letters Patent of the Association be amended as follows:

1. Change the name of the Association to “Association du Bassin versant du Lac Heney” and

2. Replace the objects of the Association with the following:

  1. To organize and represent the members of the Association to further the protection and conservation of the Lac Heney watershed.
  2. To promote efforts to reduce pollution and improve the quality of the Lac Heney watershed.
  3. To work with the MRC de la Vallée-de-la-Gatineau, la Ville de Gracecield, Municipalité de Lac-Sainte-Marie, and the Ministry of the Environment of the Province of Quebec in the development and application of policies, laws and regulations that protect the quality of the Lac Heney watershed and surrounding environment.
  4. To educate and foster an environmentally responsible attitude and lifestyle in people who live on or use the Lac Heney watershed.
  5. To promote safe and friendly recreation activities on the Lac Heney watershed.
  6. To inform members and the public of the efforts of the Association to preserve the water quality and the surrounding environment of the Lac Heney watershed.
  7. To solicit and receive gifts, bequests or similar contributions.
  8. To collaborate with other Associations with similar objectives.
  9. To conduct any other activity that is in the interest of the Association.
